This modern café opened in 2021 has a charming tropical ambiance to complement its creative fusion dishes with international influences. Head over for brunch or lunch to try their Billionnaire Truffle Eggs, Buddha Bowls or Mad American breakfast. What’s more? Bloom is a “eat, drink, shop” integrated concept. To top it off the Goyco lifestyle boutique next door features a specially curated range of clothing and accessories which also captures the island vibe.

Vanilla Cafe (West)
Do you want to find somewhere serene between the precious hours of sunrise and early afternoon. This vegan-friendly gourmet haven is a beautiful place to start the day. Just imagine yourself luxuriating in tropical greenery and peaceful surroundings. Sip on their refreshing trade mark ice tea and listen to the birds and the free range chickens chirping. ‘Vanilla Cafe’ is part of the Vanilla Village concept which also includes a store, a grocer, a boutique hotel and more.

This café has been trending on Instagram since its opening in December 2020. You will never want to leave their beautiful flowery garden courtyard! You’ll find here all the classics of a great summer brunch such as a large variety of toasts & eggs benedict, healthy hearty bowls and pancakes, and even a few vegan friendly options.

Fynbos Meeting Place (North)
The Meeting Place has changed owners and been renamed Fynbos Meeting Place. It probably has the best coffee in the North, as the owner is a passionate of coffee. But you’re not here just for that, are you? You’ll get your all-day brunch fix with a full English breakfast option, breakfast croissant sandwitch or avocado eggs benedict. End with a sweet note with their crumpets made the way you like, their cakes or their French toasts.

The Good Life (North)
Looking for something healthy to eat by the pool? Opened in 2020 and located not far from the famous church of Cap Malheureux, The Good Life is an eco-lodge with a restaurant focused on healthy cuisine. Their Summer Poke Bowls are packed with good stuff: tuna, sushi rice, avocado, mango or papaya, beet, carrot, red cabbage, cordiander & sesame. If you’re looking for something sweet and instammagrable, try their Fluffy Pancakes. You’ll also find Avocado Toats, cheesecakes and much more.

KUUMBA (West-Center-North)
Get your brunch fix at this café which has gained the reputation of being the best coffee in the West. Kuumba has grown to 6 locations in Black River, Ebene, Floreal, Moka Telfair, Mont Choisy Mall and Grand Baie (The Precinct). Find here delicious sweets and cakes, but also pastries, Croissant Sandwitches, Egg muffins, Smashed avocado and poached eggs, quiches, waffles and more. Each location has their own vibe, but the Black River one is the most relaxed atmosphere with pool and greenery all around.

This popular restaurant is open till late but is also a great place to start your day off right with a large choice of breakfasts from around the world. Their portions are big, and there is choice for all tastes.
