1. Valentine Market

Miss Daisy Bistrot, on the heart of Rose-Hill, is organizing a special Valentines Day themed Artisan Market on 5th Feb, starting from 10:00 to 15:00. Many local and talented artisans will be participating and you will find there cool and interesting locally made goodies. This a special opportunity for you to visit and get gift ideas to splurge on your special person. While you are enjoying your shopping spree you can also enjoy their in-house special desserts and patisseries and cool mocktails to beat the heat.

2. Live Music Performances

Le Suffren

Nothing can beat an evening filled with nice music and delicious cocktails after a tiring week. Visit Le Suffren, at Port Louis on 3rd Feb, from 17:00 to 24:00 to enjoy Live music by Ludmila Ono & DJ Mac Bryson at Pink Socks with chilled beverages and delicious bites. 3. Hawaiian-themed pool party

Cocotiers Hotel – Mauritius at Tombeau Bay has organized a special Hawaiian-themed pool party at their beautiful hotel on 5th Feb from 14:00 till 18:30. A perfect way to end the weekend with some fun with friends and delicious cocktails. 4. Drink & Draw

Vanilla Village Mauritius is organizing a fun workshop on  5th Feb from 16:00 to 19:30, where you showcase your inner creativity while you drink and listen to music. This time it is a Mexico theme party with the inspiration of bright colors, floral motifs, sun, passion, stunning landscapes, and talented artists. 5. Music and Wine

Are you a Wine connoisseur? And also, a Music lover? Then, you might want to know about this event.  Constance Hotels & ResortsConstance Belle Mare Plage, and Constance Prince Maurice are organizing a week of musical wine-pairing experience starting from 29th Jan – 04th Feb (11:00 -24:00). It’s their 4th gathering of winemakers and musicians. You will find Winegrowers from Rhône Valley, Burgundy, and Corsica, and Musicians like Soul of the Sun, DJ Lp, Michel Amsellem, and many more. On 4th Feb there will be a gala dinner with pianist & composer Michael Amsellem & French-Moroccan singer Sofia Essaidi. 6. Free Cinema Projections

LA CROISADE

L‘Aventure du Sucre and Institut français de Maurice are organising a French movie projection on 3rd Feb from 18:00 to 19:30 at l’Aventure du Sucre. La Croisade is a famous comedy movie by Louis Garrel on a trendy topic: Climate change and Youth awareness. A mischievous and playful comedy where “Abel and Marianne discover that their 13-year-old son has been selling the family’s valuables to finance a secret ecological project in Africa he believes will save the planet.” Take note: It’s a FREE event so hurry up! Cinéma En Plein Air

 Moka Smart City and Moka, Ville de Culture are organizing an outdoor movie experience on 3rd Feb from 19:00 to 21:30 at Amphithéâtre de Telfair, Moka. They will project the famous American blockbuster ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore’ by J K Rowling in French with English subtitles. You need to bring mats to sit on and blankets as it can get chilly. You can bring your own snacks too. There will be food and non-alcoholic drink stalls available. Take note: It’s a FREE event and the event will be postponed in case of bad weather.

7.Nightlife

Glow In The Dark

If you happen to be in the North of the island or you want to travel to the party town this weekend, then you should definitely drop by Insomnia Night Club at Grand Baie on 4th Feb from 23:00 to 06:00. They have planned a Neon themed party where you will be provided free glow bracelet and glow face art upon entering. You will groove to the music of some famous local DJs like David Jay, Vee and Yankee. To top it off there are two dance floors. Get your neon outfit out and enjoy a super fun evening dancing with friends. Take note: There’s an entry fee of Rs300. 

Northern Groove feat. The Babani Crew & Friends

Northern Groove is back! A collaborative event by electrocaïne and the The Babani Crew and friends at The Jungle Club, Grand Baie on 3rd Feb from 21:00. If you are into electronica type of music then bring your friends and dance all night long on the music of wildly talented Producers/DJ’s of the Babani crew, in this intimate setting of The Jungle – Social DJ Bar. Flexing their various sound cultures and creating a groovy and energetic atmosphere, you can expect a multi-flavored music set, with tunes plucked out amongst the wildest music gems.

8. Watercolor exhibition

Are you an amateur artist? Don’t miss Global Watercolor Day and this exhibition of watercolors presented by the Mauritian branch of the International Watercolor Society (IWS). The event will take place at Lakaz Flambwayan, Medina, and be open to the public from Feb 3 to 12, from 10:00 to 13:00 on weekdays and to 17:00 during the weekend. Discover the poetic artwork from fifteen artists from IWS Mauritius, but also attend Plain Air painting demos and live painting demos.  Free entry, and more information on 4649808
