Awanam, which was the place to be in the West last year, has unfortunately closed down in the West and seems to still be figuring out where to re-open in the West. Best dancing bars and nightclubs in Mauritius (West coast)
1. Big Willy’s (Tamarin)
Big Willy’s is the inevitable night club of the west coast. Created in 2009, the establishment is one of the biggest nightclubs in Mauritius, with a record of 1800 attendance at once. It offers a large open air restaurant area with live bands entertainment, a beer garden, 3 bars (1 main bar, 1 cocktail/lounge bar, 1 nightclub bar), a dancefloor, a karaoke area, and giant screens and TVs for sports events broadcast. The nightclub regulary organizes special nights and hosts some of the most well-known local bands and DJs. Follow their Facebook page to be updated on the next theme party. Wednesday nights are usually reserved for karaoke.
2. Lakaz (Cascavelle)
Your go-to resto bar in the West, situated in Cascavelle. Lakaz Cascavelle, is the perfect place to hang out with friends during the weekend or enjoy ladies’ night on Wednesdays. They regularly invite talented local artists and DJs to perform at their venues and also, organize many interesting events every weekend. You may have a drink at the Lakaz bar or eat supper there with some pals. The Restaurant at Lakaz Cascavelle specializes in fine dining creole cuisine and offers a variety of menu items in a warm and inviting environment. You may eat in or get takeout at the restaurant, which is open from Monday through Saturday. The three-course menu includes traditional western and regional meals as well as an appetizer, a main dish, and a dessert. 3. Shotz (Flic en Flac)
The perfect place to visit in the West if you want to get the Mauritian-style party vibe. Shotz is situated next to Flic-en-Flac public beach and is well known among all the locals and tourists for clubbing. Shotz is a nightlife place for fantastic events and wonderful dancing moments. This place comes with bubble bars, skilled bartenders, and well-known local and international DJs. You will certainly fall in love with the fun and party atmosphere the place has to offer with some great music and performances.

4. Saxo Beach (Flic en Flac)
Saxo Beach Lounge bar is a super chilled resto bar to hang out with friends and enjoy live music bands, Dj nights, or watching soccer matches. To top it off they even have Karaoke for you to sing and you can play Billiards as well. This place will definitely give a very relaxed and chilled-out vibe. They also offer mouth-watering local snacks and chilled beverages to make your evening exciting. During weekends this bar gets very happening with some talented DJs and local artists.

5. Kenzi Bar (Flic en Flac)
