In response to the devastation caused by Cyclone Belal, the I61 Foundation is collaborating with partner Nonprofit Organizations (NPOs) to provide support for crisis relief efforts. Caritas Mauritius
In the aftermath of Cyclone Belal, Caritas Mauritius is actively engaging the community to address urgent needs. After assessing impacted neighborhoods, they’ve organized a new collection drive and invite everyone to participate. Donations can be made 17th Jan onwards from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Caritas office near Saint Augustine Church.
To ensure the effectiveness of contributions, Caritas requests specific items, including bottled water, non-perishable food, bedding essentials, bath towels, and household cleaning products. The organization also has a pressing need for mattresses of various sizes.
Caritas emphasizes that they no longer require clothing donations and encourages those with clothing items to contribute to the Tamarin Charity Center.

The cyclone has deeply affected entire communities, leaving many families in need. In response, FoodWise is currently collaborating with local NGOs to maximize the impact of your generosity.
