Saint Anges Gardiens (Holy Saints Church)

Located on the northern coast, Saint Anges Gardiens, commonly known as Holy Saints Church, is a Catholic church that stands as an architectural masterpiece. Notre-Dame Auxiliatrice de Cap Malheureux

While Notre-Dame Auxiliatrice de Cap Malheureux doesn’t offer mass in English, it is an absolute must-visit destination on the island. This picturesque church with its incredible ocean backdrop is a symbol of the north of Mauritius. It’s a serene place to contemplate and enjoy breathtaking sunsets. The church is associated with the memory of a shipwreck in the area, and its unique boat-shaped altar pays homage to this history.

Chapelle St Benoît (Paroisse Saint Augustin)

Chapelle St Marc (Paroisse Saint Sauveur)

Situated in Flic en Flac, Chapelle St Marc is a charming chapel that hosts mass in English every third Saturday of the month at 5 p.m. With its welcoming atmosphere and a devoted priest, it provides a serene spiritual experience. Don’t forget to enjoy the beautiful view at the back of the church after your worship.

Redeemer Church

Redeemer Church is a non-denominational Christian church situated in Black River, Mauritius. They conduct a service every Sunday morning and offer an online service on YouTube. While their services are in Black River, they are accessible to everyone seeking spiritual guidance and community.

Marie Reine de la Paix

Marie Reine de la Paix church in Port Louis attracts hundreds of locals and tourists daily. While mass is conducted in French, the church premises offer a tranquil retreat with beautiful gardens and panoramic views of the city. It’s a serene spot for picnics and relaxation, and at night, it provides a unique perspective of Port Louis illuminated.

St Columba Presbyterian Church

The Presbyterian Church of Mauritius is a Christian church part of the Reformed family of churches. Plurilingual (Creole, French, English, Malagasy), it offers pastoral care to all, Mauritians and expatriates, and touches all social strata.  The Saint-Columba parish, located in Phoenix, has been a significant English-speaking church in Mauritius for over 80 years. They conduct worship services every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in English. After the service, you can join a casual gathering at Karibu for some cake, tea, and coffee. The parish also holds a Creole worship service on Mondays at 7 p.m. Whether you’re a local or an expat, this church offers a warm and welcoming community.

St Louis Cathedral

St. Louis Cathedral in Port Louis is one of the oldest and most iconic churches in Mauritius. Although mass is in French, its stunning architecture, serene ambiance, and well-maintained surroundings make it a must-visit landmark.

Ste Helene Church

Ste Helene Church, also known as La Basilique de Sainte Helene, is an architectural marvel situated on the main road of Curepipe. With daily religious services, it’s a place of solace and spirituality. The church’s beauty is complemented by the prayers and songs conducted by Father Laurent Rivet.
