Next June 2 and 3: The Caudan Food Festival returns

Appointment is made on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 June for the second edition of the Caudan Food Festival. “Building on the success of the first edition, we are delighted to once again welcome Mauritians and foreign visitors to this second edition which promises, once again, to thrill the Caudan Waterfront and the capital. Rose-Hill: compulsory acquisition of land for a new market and a parking tower

Since the inauguration of the Metro Express, the town of Rose-Hill has changed radically. This project has made it possible to revise its layout in order to meet the growing need for personal mobility. In addition to the construction of the Urban Terminal which is on the agenda and which will be a “hub” for public transport users, other large-scale projects are planned. In particular the construction of a new market and a parking tower.

Premium visa: The bar of 5,000 approved applications expected this year

More and more foreigners are settling in Mauritius for a long period and to work there remotely. From the introduction of the Premium Visa in November 2020 to March 31, 2023, the Economic Development Board (EDB) has approved 3,732 applications. By the end of this year, more than 1,300 new applications are expected to be approved.

Smart City: Beau Plan in full mutation

Another Fly-over to ensure the M1-La Vigie connection

The completion of the phase 1 project of La-Vigie – La Brasserie – Beaux-Songes Link Road, awarded to General Construction for the sum of Rs 655.7 million should take place by next November. “The commissioning will greatly lighten traffic between the western, central and southern regions of the country, including between Rivière-Noire, the M1 motorway and the SSR airport”, indicated the Minister of National Infrastructures, Bobby Hurreeram, in response to an inquiry from Deputy Whip Kenny Dhunoo about these road developments in Parliament on Tuesday. ” This will improve the level of service, travel time and accessibility to the city of Curepipe, where the main road network is currently fragmented and congested ,” highlighted the minister in charge.
