The Indian airline Vistara will launch 5 weekly flights with Mumbai from March 26

Vistara airline will add Mauritius to its destination map by launching five weekly flights between Mumbai and Mauritius from March 26, 2023, with the objective of reviving the Mauritius destination in the Indian tourist market, which is well below the expectations of the local tourism.


2000 vacancies in tourism

The inflation rate at 11.8% in January

The Year-on-Year inflation rate, which was 11.5% last August, then 12.2% in December, stood at 11.8% in January. This is indicated by the latest bulletin from Statistics Mauritius.


A water quality index to promote beaches will be introduced soon

To use the lagoon water quality index to promote Mauritius as a safe swimming destination. This is one of the objectives of the Lagoon Water Quality Index (LWQI) for Public Beaches, which the Ministry of the Environment intends to introduce very soon. An international call for tenders has just been launched on the subject.
