Frolic Catamaran Special Meetup to Gabriel Island and Coin de Mire

Join us for our second Frolic Catamaran Party/Meetup! This time, we’re exploring the Northern islands Gabriel Island and Coin de Mire, 20 km away from the mainland ! Whether you’re new to the community or you’ve been a regular to our meetups, we hope to see you there !
Event Details:
- Date: Sunday, 14th of July
- Timing: A 7 hour cruise from 9am to 4pm. Meeting at 8:45am.
- Departure Location: Oh Well! store, Grand Baie.
Please note that we will organize a minivan from Tamarin, passing through the center, to the departure location. More details will be shared in a dedicated WhatsApp group for the event. We’ll negotiate the best price, which will be charged separately.
Highlights:
- Visit Gabriel Island for the white sands and for swimming in the beautiful warm clear waters
- Anchor at Coin De Mire for snorkelling, with equipment provided.

F&B:
In keeping with the ethos, all our events are eco sensitive and sustainable (as much as possible) hence food is vegetarian.
- Morning coffee, tea and breakfast snack.
- Lunch: Cantonese Rice with vegetables , Mixed Raw salads , Sauteed Vegetables , Veg burger and Veg sausage, Dessert Fresh fruit
- Complimentary beverages throughout the event, including free-flow soft drinks, still & sparkling water, refreshing juices, wine, chilled local beers, and local rum cocktails.

Pricing:
The retail cost of TopCat is Rs 3500 but we have been able negotiate to Rs 2700 on basis of bulk booking and vegetarian food. Each person will pay Topcat directly but we need 30 participants without which the cost goes up for each of us. Hence we will announce when we have reached 30, and event is confirmed, after which you may proceed to make the payment to TopCat.
Please note that in the unlikely event we have to change the itinerary due to sea conditions, we’ll be sure to give you the best day we can out on the ocean.

This meetup is open to anyone from Mauritius or all corners of the globe interested to join our Frolic community. We organize regular meetups, from Sundowners to treks with the aim to be a platform for you to connect with new individuals, foster friendships and expand your horizons, celebrating the joy of sharing beautiful moments together.
What to Bring:
Remember to pack your essentials for the day, including sunglasses, sunscreen to protect against the tropical sun, and towels to stay comfortable on the catamaran.
