Let\u2019s discover together the South Coast Trail (from Le Souffleur to La Cambuse). With an elevation gain of 23 meters only, the trail offers breathtaking views all along. The trail is meandering along rugged cliffs of the south coast. It\u00a0stays near the coast except for a diversion around a private estate at Ile Brocus that will take you through the sugar cane. You\u2019ll pass by Virginia Garden, le Pont Naturel, Il\u00f4t Brocus, Le Bouchon Public Beach and For\u00eat des Palmiers G\u00e9ants.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Duration<\/strong>: About 4-5 hours in total, to go and come back, according to Google Maps. It’s possible to take a taxi mid-way, from the Shandrani Beachcomber resort.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Meeting Point:<\/strong> The starting point is from Le Souffleur viewpoint. Finding your way to the trail at Le Souffler can be a challenge, as described in this article<\/a>\u00a0: In L\u2019Escalier the turn off is on the south side and is marked by a rusty sign that says Le Souffler. This road is also the entrance to the local Omnicane industrial complex. As you near the facilities there is another sign guiding you towards Le Souffler. Continue on the road right through the center of the facilities. The road is generally marked as it passes through sugarcane towards the coast. If in doubt, just follow the clearest road and you will find your way there. You will reach a building and a black gate that says Le Souffler 6am-6pm. Continue along the stone lined road until you reach the coast.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
